The polishing process consists of removing micro-fissures from the slab in order to create a smooth and opaque surface. A twenty-head satellite polishing machine shines the material. The machine also controls the type of polish, giving the granite different textures and shines. This process creates a smooth, opaque and impermeable surface.
During polishing, levigation takes place. In this phase the slabs are prepared for resin coating, leaving them uniform and flat. Levigated granites go through an oven drying process before they receive the resin.
